Deadbush Hills
Deadbush hills is a province of the Kennedy Estate composed principally of mesa, jungle and desert biomes. It is the industrial heartland of the estate producing a vast majority of the nation's goods. The zone is primary zoned for industrial use with only one (semi) residential area, located in Tumbleweed.
Economy[edit | edit source]
New Portsmouth Mining Corporation is headquartered in Deadbush Hills South. The company is a key economic player in the region accounting for the vast majority of activity in the region through it's ownership of the Deadbush Hills Iron Farm located on Deadbush Island and the Deadbush Hills Stone farm.
Regions[edit | edit source]
Deadbush Hills is split into numerous geographical regions.
The most developed regions of Deadbush Hills (Deadbush Island, Stoney Island, & The Valley) are located around Deadbush Bay, a key link between the province and New Portsmouth, with a port in the region being established shortly after the founding of New Portsmouth for the purpose of serving as a hub for the export of terracotta for construction efforts in New Portsmouth.
The Valley[edit | edit source]
The heart of the province is located in The Valley, a flat plain that is nested between massive mountains to its north, south and east. The flat terrain in this area has led to it being the most densely built upon area with Deadbush Hills Railway Station and the New Portsmouth Mining Corporation headquarters both being located here.
The area is often split into two sub-regions, the Lower Valley and Upper Valley. Prior to late September 2023, the Lower Valley was historically referred to by the geographically inaccurate name of Deadbush Hills South with this name still in common use today, Deadbush Hills South and the Lower Valley are often used interchangeably.
Deadbush Island[edit | edit source]
Deadbush Island sits just north of Deadbush Bay and is home to the Deadbush Hills Iron Farm, the first major industrial-scale farm in the region which was integral in the development of Deadbush Hills as the industrial heart of the Kennedy Estate. Still to this day nearly 100% of iron produced in the estate comes from Deadbush Hills, specifically, from this farm.
Stoney Island[edit | edit source]
Despite the name Stoney Island is actually a peninsula attached to a much larger area. It is the main access route for the Kennedy Estate's only end portal. Prior to the establishment of the End Portal railway station the area had no buildings. On the 9th September 2023 the area was chosen to be the site for the Christ the Redeemer statue, this statue is the second structure to be built in the area and dominates the landscape.
Stoney Island Hills[edit | edit source]
Stoney Island Hills is a mountainous jungle that sits on the northern portion of the greater Stoney Island peninsula.
Tumbleweed[edit | edit source]
Tumbleweed is the oldest part of Deadbush Hills, indeed, it is one of the oldest parts of the Kennedy Estate with the Tumbleweed Travel Lodge and Tavern, the region's namesake, being at least as old as New Portsmouth, possibly even older.
The landscape of the region is dominated by Deadbush Hills' largest mountain and as such it remains one of the province's most undeveloped regions. It is served by the Deadbush Hills (Tumbleweed) railway station.
Savannah[edit | edit source]
This region encompasses the large savannah biome that sits within the south of Deadbush Hills.

Transport[edit | edit source]
The province contains three railway stations, those being Deadbush Hills, serving the Lower Valley, Deadbush Hills (Tumbleweed) serving Tumbleweed and End Portal serving Stoney Island, however, in the case of the latter, the actual station is located underground within the Great Southern Ocean with the entrance available via Stoney Island. All of these stations reside upon the Western Main Line
The province also contains two nether portals, one located next to the main railway station and another located within the End Portal railway station.
